FRAME Cube Editor SLX
In developing the Editor chassis, Cube took its cue from mountain bikes. Consequently, double-butted aluminium tubing sets ensure a stable, robust and agile structure. Seamlessly integrated mounting points allow for the individual retrofitting of a luggage rack and mudguards. The low-maintenance toothed belt can be tensioned via the eccentric bottom bracket – the frame opening for fitting the belt is discreetly located above the dropout. A slim, stiff fork completes the set-up; its speciality: crisp, precise handling combined with low weight and a sophisticated look.
Technologies
Urban Geometry
The urban jungle is the realm of city bikes, so Cube has equipped this model with the appropriate Urban Geometry. This allows you to navigate city traffic smoothly, nimbly and safely, whilst finely tuned weight distribution ensures reliability, stability, controlled braking manoeuvres and superb handling when cornering. In other words: safety and perfect support on your ride through the city streets. And traffic jams? What traffic jams?
Mounting points
Here at CUBE, we believe that being functional and high-performance isn’t enough – a bike must also be a pleasure to look at! With the Nature series, Cube has therefore placed great emphasis on mounting points that provide a stable and secure platform for attaching practical accessories – such as luggage racks and mudguards. But they’re also integrated into the frame design so aesthetically and discreetly that you’ll hardly notice them. Simply stylish!
Internal Cable Routing
The cables connect the controls on the handlebars to the bike’s key components, such as the gears and brakes. But they certainly shouldn’t get in your way when you’re riding! Thanks to internal cable routing, there’s no more cable clutter on the frame, meaning less maintenance. It also protects the cables running inside the frame from dirt, moisture, damage and wear. On top of that, it creates a beautifully clean look.
Aluminium Superlite
CUBE’s Aluminium Superlite is a heat-treated 6061 aluminium alloy and offers precisely the properties that are essential for bike frames: fatigue resistance, high stiffness, low weight and exceptional stability. The double-butted tubes save even more weight without compromising on stability or stiffness. The result: extremely lightweight, durable and robust frames.
