FRAME Cube Editor ONE FE
City life can be demanding, so the Editor FE comes fully equipped for any journey with our Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.1, full-length mudguards, a kickstand and a dynamo-powered lighting set. Designed around the low maintenance of a clean, quiet belt drive, the lightweight double-butted aluminium frame – in a familiar Trapeze format – features carefully crafted tube joints for an almost seamless, organic appearance. Full Internal Cable Routing complements the pared-back aesthetic, and the light and svelte full carbon fork is the perfect accompaniment. It's everything you need to thrive in the city.
Technologies
Urban Geometry
The urban jungle is the realm of city bikes, so Cube has equipped this one with the appropriate Urban Geometry. This allows you to navigate city traffic smoothly, nimbly and safely, whilst finely tuned weight distribution ensures reliability, stability, controlled braking manoeuvres and superb handling when cornering. In other words: safety and perfect support on your ride through the city streets. And traffic jams? What traffic jams?
Mounting points
Here at CUBE, we believe that being functional and high-performance isn’t enough – a bike must also be a pleasure to look at! With the Nature series, Cube has therefore placed great emphasis on mounting points that provide a stable and secure platform for attaching practical accessories – such as luggage racks and mudguards. But they’re also integrated into the frame design so aesthetically and discreetly that you hardly notice them. Simply stylish!
Internal Cable Routing
The cables connect the controls on the handlebars to the bike’s key components, such as the gears and brakes. But they certainly shouldn’t get in your way when you’re riding! Thanks to internal cable routing, there’s no more cable clutter on the frame, meaning less maintenance. It also protects the cables running inside the frame from dirt, moisture, damage and abrasion. On top of that, it creates a beautifully clean look.
Aluminium Superlite
CUBE’s Aluminium Superlite is a heat-treated 6061 aluminium alloy that offers precisely the properties essential for bike frames: fatigue resistance, high stiffness, low weight and exceptional stability. The double-butted tube sets save even more weight without compromising stability or stiffness. The result: extremely lightweight, durable and robust frames.
Smooth Welding
Smooth Welding is a rather complex process, but the effect and the benefits are well worth the effort. For one thing – and this is immediately obvious – a frame constructed in this way simply looks fantastic. One tube seems to literally flow into the one connected to it. Equally important and simply ingenious: this technology minimises stress peaks around the weld seams, ensuring greater stability and durability for the frame.
