The ContiTube inner tube range makes it easy for you to find the ideal inner tube for your needs. This particularly clear and user-friendly inner tube system has been perfectly adapted in terms of size, design, valve type and length to the respective tyre dimensions and intended uses. By choosing different inner tube types, you can easily influence the handling characteristics of your bike:
- The standard inner tube, available in all sizes (in the Race, Tour and MTB categories), offers the best compromise for everyday use.
- The Light and Supersonic inner tubes are ideal for reduced weight and lower rolling resistance. However, the reduced wall thicknesses – down to 0.45 mm – also increase the risk of punctures. Furthermore, lightweight inner tubes need to be re-inflated more frequently.
- The Hermetic Plus inner tube, on the other hand, is a completely worry-free product. Thanks to an improved formulation, it is more compact and lighter, whilst the increased butyl content and greater wall thickness make it particularly puncture-resistant. As it also retains air for an exceptionally long time, it is the favourite of many bike hire companies.
- The special freeride and downhill inner tubes from Continental are also particularly strong and voluminous. With their extra-thick walls, they provide effective protection against punctures.
