Vectran - The benchmark in puncture protectionVectran™ is a synthetically manufactured high-tech fibre from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and processed further to a multi-strand thread. Spider silk like Vectran™ has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tire as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran™ Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.
E50 - Suitable for E-Bikes
For our E-Bike tire we fall back on over 100 years’ experience with moped and motorcycle tires. All of our city/trekking tires are rated to a standard speed of at least 25 km/h. Those tires marked e50 are also certified for S-Pedelecs. With their high quality structure, puncture protection is high and the rolling resistance is low offering protection from premature wear brought about by the additional driving force.

Endlich Schnee auf den Wegen, und sogleich gefahren. Der Grip ist Mega, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Macht richtig Spaß. Luftdruck 2bar vorne 2,5 bar hinten. Der Reifen schont meine Spikes Reifen im Winter. Bei Eis montiere ich dann schnell die Spikes Reifen.
Liefert ein gutes Sicherheitsgefühl bei kalter Nässe, und auf frischem Schnee. Insofern bin ich zufrieden, darauf kam es an. Leicht Rollen tut der Reifen allerdings nicht, ich muss deutlich mehr leisten im Vergleich zu einem semiglatten Trekking- oder Cityreifen...der Preis für mehr Sicherheit im Herbst und Winter.
Bin absolut begeistert und fahre diesen Reifen als Kompromiss, um keine Spikes nehmen zu müssen. Der TopContact Winter hat super Grip auf nasser, rutschiger und sogar auch vereister Fahrbahn. Klar - im hohen Schnee ist irgendwann auch mal Schluss, aber dafür bleiben dann eben ja die Spikereifen...
Für Nasse Winterverhältnisse ganz gut. Aber zu richtigen Spikereifen kein Vergleich. Bei wirklich winterlichen Straßen mit Schnee geht nichts über gute Spikereifen.
Griffiger, leichter und gut rollender Winterreifen. Auch stürbar besserer Grip auf nassem Laub. Nur die vielen "Haare" der Reifen schleudern viel Dreck aufs Rad und den Fahrer. Die fahren sich leider nicht schnell ab. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne.
Absolut zufrieden! Zu Bike-Discount: Superschnelle Lieferung! Bestprice Wort wurde gehalten! Top! Zu den Reifen: Bisher nur auf nassem, matschigem Untergrund gefahren mit einem 25km/h e-Bike, aber äußerst zufrieden. Keinerlei Rollwiderstandsverluste gemerkt (bei 6.0 bar). Im vergleich zu den Slicks ein enormer Zugewinn an Sicherheit für mich. Womöglich ist der Zuwachs an Sicherheit im Vergleich zu normalen Trekkingreifen geringer, aber ich bin sehr zufrieden.
