Habe den Reifen in 45 mm und für mein Streckenprofil Allroad/Gravel meist trocken ist dieser Reifen perfekt. Tubelessmontage war mit Standpumpe absolut problemlos und er hält gut die Luft. Trotz 45 mm sehr leicht/schnell auch auf Asphalt und auch der Grip ist sehr gut auch auf nassen glatten Flächen. Es sind keine Welten aber der Reifen rollt laut Strava 1 kmh schneller wie Tufo Speedero 44, Terra Speed 45 und S Works Pathfinder die ich davor hatte. Negative finde ich den Grip in Schlamm/Matsch/Sand was aber bei jedem Semislck bzw wenig Profil Reifen der Fall ist und der sehr hohe Preis.
Als Tubeless-Reifen hält der Reifen rekordverdächtig gut die Luft. Entspricht den Erwartungen bzgl. Fahreigenschaften, sehr gute Kurvenlage auf Asphalt und flott unterwegs. Auf leichtem Gravel wesentlich griffiger als ein Slick und die Oberfläche verkraftet auch gut Vollbremsungen auf Schotter.
Hier merkt man mal wieder deutlich im negativen Sinne, was Marketing für einen absurden Einfluss haben kann... Also der Reifen ist nicht schlecht. Aber er ist auch nicht das Nonplusultra als das er beworben wird, von wegen "verwische die Grenzen zwischen Straße und Gravel"... ich bin jetzt knappe 1150km damit gefahren. Bisher gab es keine Pannen, aber ich bin auch noch nicht durch Glasscherben o.ä. gefahren. Positiv ist zunächst einmal, dass er sich tubeless relativ problemlos montieren lässt, und vor allem im Vergleich zu den meisten Reifen von Schwalbe, auch dicht hält. Obwohl der Reifen eine dünne Rennkarkasse hat, tritt nichts durch die Seitenwände aus. Reifendruckverlust nach 3 Tagen ca. 0,4 Bar, das ist in Ordnung. Ich würde hier tatsächlich den G One RS (Pro) als Konkurrenten sehen, und diesem Reifen würde ich am liebsten 0 Sterne vergeben. So einen Schrott-Reifen habe ich in meinem Leben nicht gehabt. Weiterhin ist die Verarbeitung positiv, und auch die Optik, muss man ehrlich sagen - das war auch ein Kaufargument für mich. Jetzt kommen wir aber zu den negativen Punkten, bzw. zu den Punkten bei denen ich ehrlich gesagt eine gemischte Meinung habe. Wie schon erwähnt, die dünne Rennkarkasse ist eben - dünn, und sie ist entsprechend weich. Das Lenkverhalten ist selbst bei 2.7 Bar sehr schwammig. Und das obwohl der Reifen zudem noch die "harte" rollwiderstandsoptimierte "Race Rapid" Gummimischung haben soll. Ich habe nach der ersten Ausfahrt sofort mal den Reifendruck kontrolliert, weil ich dachte, dass ich mit platten Reifen gefahren bin... aber bin ich nicht. Die Karkasse gibt enorm stark nach, was mir absolut gar nicht gefällt. Andererseits trägt es in der Tat dazu bei, dass der Reifen ziemlich komfortabel ist. Hier ist der Reifen also ein zweischneidiges Schwert für mich. Nun war für mich die große Frage - bin ich auf diesem Reifen schneller als auf meinem vorherigen (Tufo Gravel Speedero) - und die Antwort war sehr überraschend: nein.
