What's new with the Bosch Performance Line CX motor in the model year?
Performance upgrade and new features
A riding experience that sets new standards: From model year 2021, the Performance Line CX will provide even more riding fun on the trail - with further developed software and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The increased torque provides extra power, which supports you even more powerfully, especially at low cadences. This leads to noticeably faster acceleration in eMTB and turbo mode and makes starting off on steep sections much easier. Thanks to a wider cadence range, unpredictable riding situations can be mastered even better - such as when shifting gears late or accelerating out of tight bends. In cadence and turbo mode, riding remains smooth and jolt-free.
eMTB mode at the next level
The progressive riding mode for every occasion: With the enhanced eMTB mode, you are ideally equipped for all riding situations on the trail. Thanks to new sensor and motor control functions, the Performance Line CX now provides you with an even more dynamic, natural and much wider range of support. You continue to benefit from the proven technology of eMTB mode: depending on the pedal pressure, the progressive motor support adapts ideally to the riding situation. The improved tuning of the eMTB mode ensures optimum traction control in all gears and facilitates organic handling ("power on demand"). The starting behaviour is much finer and more sensitive, especially in low gears. Thanks to the increased torque, the Drive Unit supports an even wider cadence range.
Extended Boost
Extended Boost is the unrivalled function for smoothly rolling over roots, steps and stones on the trail, even uphill. The eMTB can thus be manoeuvred through technical passages much more easily and agilely. Thanks to the unique dynamics, obstacles can be overcome with ease by applying situational pressure to the pedals. There is hardly any pedal contact. The new, innovative function can be optimally controlled in eMTB mode in all riding situations. If the front wheel is already at the top of the step, a light push on the pedal is enough to give the decisive "kick". This takes pedal management to a new dimension.
