Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Highlights
Space for wide tyres
The generous tyre clearance with up to 48 mm tyre width at the front and 42 mm at the rear, with at least 4 mm clearance on each side, makes the Synapse a versatile road bike for a wide range of road conditions.
StashPort + StashBag
The integrated StashPort storage compartment in the down tube is located under the bottle cage and enables tools and important utensils to be carried safely. It is complemented by the custom-fit StashBag for tidy and practical storage.
D-dynamic
The D-shaped profile of the seatpost improves aerodynamics and at the same time increases vertical compliance. The result is a noticeable reduction in muscle fatigue on long rides.
Delta steerer tube
The V-shaped delta steerer tube enables fully internal cable routing, ensures a tidy cockpit and reduces the frontal area of the head tube for less drag and an elegant look.
Strong performance under real conditions
The lightweight frame with wind tunnel-optimised tube profiles and an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio is designed for speed, endurance and comfort. Designed for a wide variety of roads, proven even under extreme long-distance loads.
More comfort
The advanced carbon layup offers around 20 % more comfort compared to the previous model and ensures a controlled, comfortable ride even on rough surfaces.
Fits like a glove
The Proportional Response Design precisely adjusts the carbon layup and geometry to every frame size and ensures balanced handling and an optimum fit for riders of all sizes.
Always have everything with you
The StashPort storage compartment in the down tube significantly expands the transport options on long rides. In combination with the high tyre clearance, this opens up new options for extended tours off the beaten track.
