Highlights
FlexPivot
We developed these flexing carbon frame elements several years ago, and they’re simply a stroke of genius in frame design. They reduce weight, minimise maintenance and enable a sophisticated four-bar suspension design that improves your traction and control on the trail.
Tailored just for you
Thanks to our Proportional Response Design, everything – from the suspension kinematics and geometry right through to the length of the chainstays – is optimally tailored to each frame size. Tailored for performance.
Geometry adjustment
Thanks to the flip chip, you can ride the Moterra SL in the standard mullet setup (29” front wheel and 27.5” rear wheel) or as a pure 29er setup without altering the bike’s geometry or handling characteristics. The Mullet setup results in a slightly more playful ride, whilst a pure 29er setup offers a smoother ride.
Adjustable head angle
The steering angle can be adjusted by 1.2 degrees using the adjustable headset cups. Set it flatter for greater stability at high speeds, or steeper for greater agility on technical terrain.
Shimano EP801 drive unit
Shimano’s best e-MTB system: lightweight, reliable and powerful. 85 Nm of torque and over 600+ W of maximum power, paired with specially tuned riding modes for brilliant riding fun.
Specially tuned riding modes
In addition to ‘ECO’ mode (minimum assistance, maximum range for all-day rides), there are two ‘TRAIL’ modes (the first TRAIL mode offers medium power, ideal for rides with friends on lightweight e-bikes. The second TRAIL mode increases the assistance so you can keep up with e-bikes running at full power). In addition, there is the familiar “BOOST” mode (full power) as the fourth option. The choice is yours.
Specially developed 601Wh battery
By using special battery cells that store more energy per kilo than ever before, we’ve been able to develop an astonishingly compact battery that weighs just 3.1 kg (including the cable harness!) whilst delivering a whopping 601 watt-hours. Full power with less weight.
Perfectly routed
For a clean look and better protection of the cables and wires, you can route them directly through the headset or, alternatively, feed them through the openings in the frame for easy fitting and maintenance.
Well protected
Like a helmet for your motor, an integrated bashguard protects it on the trail from stone chips or hard contact with the ground. You might not use it very often, but when you do, you’ll definitely be glad you have it.
Please note that pedals are not included!
