These concepts are also expressed in the innovative design of the MYCAMPY 3.0 app, which allows instant monitoring of the status of all components thanks to the revolutionary aviation-derived synoptic dashboard.
ULTRA-TORQUE
Lightweight, stiff and simplified assembly: ULTRA-TORQUE™. Campagnolo® has permanently connected the axle halves of the bottom bracket to the respective chainring arms. This new design has made it possible to significantly reduce the lateral space required at axle height, avoiding unwanted contact with the ankle during pedal rotation. Commissioning is extremely simple: a single oversize screw is used to connect the two halves of the axle. This has been achieved by using a sophisticated mechanical system based on many years of experience in the field of rotary axis couplings: the Hirth gearing. Essentially, this is a joint with self-centering and self-aligning face splines positioned centrally in the axis of motion where the ends of the axle halves integrated into the chainring arms come into contact. This system can be compared to a one-piece axle in terms of torque transmission efficiency, thus guaranteeing unparalleled power transmission efficiency.
