The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

geliefert wird Version ohne jeglichen Stecker! Kabel ist dran aber weder stecker für normale bosch GEN4 noch für smarte bosch (BES3) motoren. Daher nur für bikes mit klemmanschlüssen fürs Licht. Habe die Lampe leider zurücksenden und woanders für BES3 ordern müssen weil BD diese mit Stecker nicht im Programm hat.

Jeden Cent wert, in dieser Jahreszeit außerhalb der Stadt und im Wald absolutes Muss, da ist aber auch schon das Abblendlicht ziemlich gut. Fernlicht verbessert dann zusätzlich noch. Naturgemäß große Schwäche jedoch bei kurvigen strecken, da muss man auch mit dieser Lampe gut Geschwindigkeit reduzieren, damit man ausreichend sieht. Das muss man dann wohl doch noch mit dem BUMM Kurvenlichtassistenten ergänzen. Nicht so groß ist die Wirkung in einer durchschnittlich beleuchteten Großstadt, da das Licht durch die sehr unterschiedlichen Lichtquellen nicht seine volle Wirkung entfalten kann.

Das Licht dieser Lampe ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Ist das Abblendlicht schon gut, so fühlt man sich mit dem Fernlicht komplett sicher. Ich fahre mit dem Rad im Dunkeln zur Arbeit, über Feldwege und durch kleine Wälder, was man jetzt sieht, ist schon beeindruckend. Das Fernlicht geht für meinen Geschmack etwas zu hoch, wenn man es richtig einstellt, ist das Abblendlicht zu kurz. Dieses sollte auf Feldwegen auch schon 15 m weit leuchten. Es gibt aber auch 2 Kritikpunkte. Zum einen fehlen im Lieferumfang die Flachstecker, mit der man die Lampe anschließt. Gibt es auch bei Bike-Discount nicht, musste ich beim Händler kaufen. Zum anderen ist der mitgelieferte Halter für die Montage an der Gabelbrücke von hinten nicht brauchbar, lässt sich nicht drehen. Man muss den Originalhalter, sieht dann aber irgendwie gebastelt aus. Warum bekommt man keinen Halter hin, der beidseitig verwendbar ist. Alle Trekkingräder in meiner Familie haben die Lampenbefestigung hinten an der Gabelbrücke.

Die Lampe wurde problemlos an einen Bosch Performance CX Gen4 angeschlossen bei 12V. Mein Fahrprofil ist Pendeln über dunkle Forst/Waldwege aber keine technischen Trails. Ich habe anfangs überlegt, ob ich mehr investieren soll in eine Supernova M99 Mini Pro oder gar eine Lupine SL BF. Ehrlich gesagt bin ich froh die 100€ bzw. 200€ Preisdifferenz gespart zu haben. Für mein Fahrprofil reicht die Lampe locker. Ich denke auch für Trails wäre die Lampe zu gebrauchen, aber das würde ich eh nur mit zusätzlicher Helmlampe machen. Das Abblendlicht ist eigentlich schon hell genug, aber mit dem Fernlicht geht echt was.

Über Langzeithaltbarkeit kann ich leider nichts sagen, über die Ausleuchtung dagegen schon. Die 80 Lux Abblendlicht reichen in den meisten Situationen aus. Nachts im Wald oder auf Feldwegen macht das Fernlicht sprichwörtlich die Nacht zum Tag. Auch schnelle Abfahrten auf der Straße sind mit dem Fernlicht deutlich angenehmer. Bisher hatte ich den IQ-X E Scheinwerfer am E-Bike montiert (150 Lux) und muss sagen, dass sich der Wechsel durchaus lohnt. Am Crosser (mit Nabendynamo) werde ich jetzt auch die Version mit Fernlicht installieren und zusätzlich einen Forumslader als Energiepuffer.
