MIPS
MIPS is a sliding plane system inside the helmet, which was developed to slow down or prevent the amount of energy that is transferred towards or away from the head.
IN-Mold
With the In-Mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single step during the foaming process. This makes the helmet even more resistant without adding weight. This production process also makes it possible to create significantly better ventilation systems and ventilation openings. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are therefore lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
Float Fit Race
Bell's latest fitting system is sleek, lightweight and incredibly versatile. Float Fit Race™ offers a 22 mm height adjustment and an additional fine grid width adjustment of the pads at the back of the head. The system is seamlessly connected to the MIPS, which helps the Zephyr "disappear" as soon as you put it on.
X-Static
The X-Static® pads are woven with silver threads. They are quick-drying and antibacterial to prevent odor build-up. Thanks to their thermal properties, the X-Static® pads also give the rider a cooling feeling in hot weather and a warming feeling in cold weather.
