MIPSSpherical®
MIPS Spherical is the next generation of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. Manufactured in the characteristic design, the two layers of EPP foam – each with a different degree of hardness – act as a sort of hinge that can move a few millimetres in any direction, thereby effectively reducing rotational energy at certain impact angles.
IN-Mould
In the in-mould construction process, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single operation whilst the latter is being foamed. This makes the helmet even more durable without adding any extra weight. This production process also makes it possible to mould significantly better ventilation systems and vents. In-Mould helmets are therefore lighter than traditional helmets and feature significantly better ventilation systems.
Float Fit
Bell’s most advanced helmet fit system combines comfort and safety in an ultra-lightweight design. Float Fit™ optimises the helmet’s fit in two ways – in terms of head circumference and vertical adjustment. To reduce weight and simplify operation, the guide arms uniquely cradle the back of the head thanks to the ‘Float’ design. This positions the helmet perfectly on the head. Simple, lightweight and comfortable.
Ionic+™
The Ionic+ antimicrobial liners use sewn-in silver threads for odour control.
