Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Why the right chain oil is so important
The bicycle chain is one of the most heavily stressed parts of a bicycle. It is constantly exposed to friction, dirt and the effects of the weather, which can lead to wear and a shortened service life. To counteract this wear on the bike chain and maintain the performance of your bike, it is essential to apply chain oil regularly. Another important aspect of bicycle chain oil is its contribution to performance optimization. A well-lubricated bicycle chain ensures smooth shifting and efficient power transmission. This allows you to enjoy your bike rides even more and achieve your goals faster.
The antidot. chain oil is specially tailored to the needs of bicycle chains. It offers an advanced formula that combines lubrication and protection in one product. An important advantage is its versatility: it can be used as chain oil for e-bikes, as chain oil for mountain bikes, for gravel bike chain care or for racing bikes. This saves you the price that all these products would cost individually - and gives you more space in your workshop.
Your benefits with antidot chain oil for bikes
- Chain oil or chain grease reduces friction and protects against wear.
- This improves the riding experience and performance.
- You increase the service life of the bicycle chain on your e-bike, road bike or gravel bike.
- This saves you repair and replacement costs.
- The chain oil is biodegradable - and demonstrably so.
