Alpina Rupi - Youth Fullface Helmet

The lightweight Inmold Fullface helmet RUPI is made for children and weighs only 385 grams. The removable chin bar makes the helmet particularly flexible to use. "Rupicapra rupicapra" means in German: "Gämse". These are the namesake for the new children's bike helmet and climb without effort through terrain by unsereins would rope up. They are even faster downhill.

With the RUPI ambitious kids are not as sure-footed as the chamois sure-footed, but: a lot better protected! The Ceramic Shell ensures in conjunction with the Hi-EPS core that the forces can be absorbed in a fall. The Run System ensures that the helmet fits perfectly, because only then is the best possible protection available. Since good ventilation is also essential downhill, the Rupi has 15 ventilation openings.

Technologies

AIR FLOW VENTING
Alpina developers spend a lot of time and energy on constantly improving the ventilation of our cycling helmets. By wind tunnel tested arrangement of the vents, our engineers create a "Venturi" effect inside the helmet, which cools the head, leads to less sweat and higher performance.

CERAMIC SHELL
All Inmold-manufactured helmets from Alpina, receive this shatter and scratch resistant polycarbonate shell. The blank is stretched under high heat to the shape of the later helmet and pressed with high pressure on its Hi-EPS body. The material is characterized by several qualities at the same time: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable as well as antistatic.

HI-EPS
The inner shell of every Alpina helmet is made of Hi-EPS ("High Expanded Polystyrene"). It consists of microscopic air chambers, which optimally absorb the forces acting during an impact. Despite optimum protection, HI-EPS ensures extra-thin walls and slim helmet shapes.

RUN SYSTEM CLASSIC
If you're just going shopping on your bike, you don't necessarily need an elaborate and expensive fitting system. Here, the RUN SYSTEM CLASSIC is enough: A simple and robust adjustment wheel that keeps the helmet safely and easily where it belongs: on the head.
