G-1000
G-1000 is Fjällräven's most important material. They use it for all their products - whether backpacks, jackets or pants. It is a densely woven fabric made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which can be adapted to different weather conditions thanks to Greenland Wax. With the right care, it can last for many years and accompany you on all your adventures.

G-1000 Lite
G-1000 is a very strong, robust material, but sometimes something lighter is more suitable. In this case, G-1000 Lite is available as a slightly thinner, airier version of the original, which is nevertheless robust and tear-resistant thanks to the woven-in ripstop. G-1000 Lite is lightly pre-treated with wax to provide a certain degree of wind and water resistance. It offers protection in demanding terrain, but not against mosquito and insect bites.
