The upper offers protection from the elements. It's layered, hardwearing ripstop woven fabric resists tearing and ripping. A PU-laminated toecap and side reinforcements add further protection and durability, while the integrated socklike knitted gaiter seals out dust and debris. The sturdy Velcro strap quickly and securely cinches the instep while the BOA-controlled adjustment provides a micro-tuneable fit for the forefoot area. The X2 outsole is engineered to deliver an optimal balance between efficient pedaling performance and flexibility for comfort and control, on and off the bike, so riders are covered for those hike-a-bike moments.
The compressed EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning, while the Vibram Megagrip rubber tread ensures grip and traction, whatever the conditions underfoot. The directional lug pattern has been designed for confident footing on clipless pedals, with spacing and depth designed to bite into softer soil and a compound ideal for gripping on slick rocks. X2 has an extended cleat track, with more set back and greater flexibility for choosing cleat placement.

Textile / SyntheticsIch habe den Schuh wie üblich eine Nummer größer als bei meinen Straßenschuhen bestellt. Das klappt meistens. Dieses Mal jedoch nicht. Selbst mit dicken Socken war er mir noch zu groß. Zwei dicke Socken hätte er auch noch vertragen. Mit dem Anprobieren hatte ich keine Probleme. Einen Schuhlöffel sollte man jedoch benutzen. Was mich jedoch sehr gestört hat, war die Fütterung. Ich habe sie mit meinen alten Schuhen verglichen. Und die war bei jenen besser. Deshalb habe ich kein Vertrauen in das Wärmeverhalten und daher in die Wintertauglichkeit. Ich habe jedoch keinen Praxistest bei niedrigen Temperaturen machen können. Wessen Füße nicht so schnell frieren, bekommt sicher einen guten Schuh. Ich musste ihn jedoch zurücksenden.
Top, Passform super passen wie angegossen. Auch gehen&laufen sind mit dem Schuh echt angenehm.
Das wären meine Favoriten gewesen. Tolle Optik, etwas breiterer Vorfuß, ideale Einstellmöglichkeiten. Nur leider ist es mir trotz aller Anstrengung nicht gelungen in den Schuh reinzuschlüpfen. Denn wer einen breiteren Vorfuß hat, passt unmöglich durch die winzige Öffnung in dem Strumpfartigen Einstieg. Wirklich schade, denn ansonsten ist das ein ganz toller Schuh.
