The Meindl Trento GTX is a comfort-oriented hiking boot from the Comfort-fit series that offers more space, especially in the forefoot area, while also stabilising the heel. Thanks to the nubuck leather, GORE-TEX membrane and grippy sole, it is waterproof, breathable and designed for hiking on well-maintained paths, in low mountain ranges and in high alpine regions.

The right socks
The socks form the layer between the foot and the shoe lining. That's why it's important to make sure that they are optimised for the desired area of use. The GORE-TEX® membrane works independently of the socks used. However, optimally constructed socks can have a noticeably positive effect on wearer comfort, especially climate comfort.
So make sure you choose the right material mix: 100% cotton absorbs a lot of moisture and only releases it very slowly. Moisture remains on the foot and the feet cool down. A mixture of high-quality virgin sheep's wool (e.g. merino) and synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester, polyamide) is therefore advantageous.
