Entry-level model for hiking - in high alpine regions, in low mountain ranges and on well-maintained paths.
- Area of use: Easy hikes in the lowlands, low mountain ranges or in the foothills of the Alps
- Surface: Good and less good paths, hut paths
The right socks
Socks form the layer between the foot and the shoe lining. This is why it is important to make sure that they are optimally matched to the desired area of use. The GORE-TEX® membrane works independently of the socks used. However, optimally constructed socks can have a noticeably positive effect on wearer comfort, especially climate comfort.So make sure you choose the right material mix: 100% cotton absorbs a lot of moisture and only releases it very slowly. Moisture remains on the foot and the feet cool down. A mixture of high-quality virgin sheep's wool (e.g. merino) and synthetic fibers (e.g. polyester, polyamide) is therefore advantageous.
