Für jede der drei Größen sind zwei verschiedene Wangenpolster im Lieferumfang enthalten, mit denen man den Helm individuell anpassen kann und die man im Falle eines Sturzes durch das Druckknopf-System schnell und einfach entfernen kann.
Two different cheek pads are included for each of the three sizes, allowing you to customise the helmet and remove it quickly and easily in the event of a fall using the push-button system.
At 1,040 grams in size M/L, the Insurgent is very light, although it features the efficient Spherical Technology™ for additional safety. The Insurgent Spherical uses two inner helmet shells that function like a ball and socket to redirect impact energy in the event of a fall. One shell is made of EPS foam, which is good at absorbing energy in high-speed crashes. The other shell is made of EPP foam with lower density and rebound properties, which absorbs energy in low-speed crashes.
Other features include a patent-pending flex zone on the lower edge of the helmet that helps prevent collarbone fractures in certain cases and tool-free breakaway visor screws with an integrated hexagon socket for easy removal and a central visor screw hole that serves as an ideal mount for action cameras. The new Giro Insurgent Spherical is the optimised protection for riders who are redefining what is possible in progressive mountain biking.

MIPS® is a sliding plane system within the helmet designed to slow down or absorb the amount of energy transmitted towards or away from the head. Spherical MIPS® is the further development of MIPS technology and sets new standards in head protection.
