Product information "E-Crossride 1 29" 6-Loch Boost Hinterrad"

The Mavic E-Crossride 1 rear wheel was specially developed for the high loads of modern e-mountain bikes and impresses with its stability and reliability. Optimized spokes, reinforced rims with pinch flat protection (PFP) and adapted hub materials ensure maximum durability under high torque and additional weight.

Thanks to the ID360 freehub system, it offers efficient power transfer, easy maintenance, and worry-free performance. As with Mavic's high-end models, this wheel is also subjected to rigorous laboratory and field testing—without compromising on reliability.

Features - Mavic E-Crossride 1

  • Instant Drive 360 freehub technology - The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and efficient. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
  • UST tubeless technology - Traction and control. Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.
  • Pinch Flat Protection sidewall - 20% less risk of puncture with PFP. An e-bike specific innovation to significantly reduce the risk of tire cuts and punctures.
  • QRM Auto bearing preload technology - Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto. Those cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play on the long run.

Wheel that works relatively well for what it costs. Relative lightweight, good tolerances in geometry. 150 kg / XC Class 3 ... I would say the one or the other :) Downsides (not too bad at it's price point): - Spokes are not the toughest, I had to replace one due to a broken thread (quality issue!). - Pressure maximum is on the low side for 2.4" tube tires (2.35 bar only), you often need 3.5 bar or more to make them fit when mounting tires the first time. - Rim profile at the connection point looks not very stable or made for tubeless, it seems to work somehow.
