The Ergon development team has conducted intensive research into men's health. The main cause of discomfort when cycling is the saddle. In men, high pressure on the extremely sensitive perineal area leads to numbness, among other things. The testicles and penis, on the other hand, rarely cause discomfort, as they can avoid the pressure of the seat. More space for the legs
The male pelvis is less flexible than that of women. This means that men sit more upright on the saddle and put more strain on the sit bones. The transition area between the rear of the saddle and the saddle nose can therefore be kept narrow (Y-shape). This gives your legs more room to pedal.

In contrast to the female anatomy, men's pubic bones are much steeper towards each other and the symphysis pubis is much higher. This significant difference between men and women was also taken into account when developing the saddle.
