In der Tat etwas schwieriger aufzuziehen als andere Reifen (z.b. Terra Serie oder früher die Conti Speed King), aber bei Verwendung von Montage-Fluid auf Felge und Reifen machbar. Kein kaputter Reifenheber :-). Auch die Unwucht verschwindet nach Aufpumpen auf max. Druck (4,5bar) nach 1-2h. Kommentare zur Fahrqualität folgen…
Ich fahre diesen Reifen auf DT Swiss GR1600 Laufrädern tubeless mit Milkit Dichtmilch. Der Reifen macht einen stabilen Eindruck und wiegt bei mir 620 gramm. Das Profil passt perfekt zu meinem Alltagsrad und ich erhoffe mir das die stabile Bauweise dazu beiträgt das er lange hält und möglichst wenig Pannen auftreten. Montage geht nur mit Hebeln, vorsicht und geduld. Ich brauchte einen Kompressor um den Reifen aufs Felgenbett zu bekommen, dann ist er aber auch ohne Milch schon "dicht". Auf 4 Bar aufgepummt komm ich auf eine Breite von ca 44mm. Für mein Rad mit Schutzblechnutzung passt das prima, da 45mm die absolute Obergrenze ist. Die Lauffläche selber ist etwas nach innen gezogen, so liegt die Breiteste Stelle des Reifens eher an der Seitenwand und nicht im Seitenstollenbereich. Der Reifen ist auf Grund seiner stabilen Bauweise kein Speedreifen, aber läuft sehr geschweidig und dämpft gut was weg. Die Gummimischung ist griffig und sorgt auch bei Nässe und Schotter für guten Grip. Leider kann ich noch kein Langzeitergebnis vorlegen, das liefer ich gerne nach. Aber für mich ist das erst mal mein neues Lieblingsmodell. ----- UPDATE (nach ca. 6 Monaten) ----- Ich habe mittlerweile 3 Alltagsräder mit den Reifen ausgestattet, welche allesamt täglich im Einsatz sind. Allerdings sind mir mittlerweile leider auch folgende, NEGATIVE EIGENSCHAFTEN aufgefallen, die ich hier ansprechen möchte. ( Alles die 45er Variante betreffend ). Ich hatte mittlerweile einige Reifen, welche nach der Erstmontage nicht rund gelaufen sind. Es scheint das ich auch nicht der einzige bin, der dieses spezifische Problem mit diesem Reifenmodell hat. Ich kann bis heute nicht sagen ob das ein Qualitätsproblem von Pirelli ist, oder ob der Reifen extrem empfindlich auf das "aufhebeln" auf die Felge reagiert. ( was bei meinen Felgenmodellen mit nur wenig Kraftaufwand ausfällt ). Fazit: Der Reifen ist anfürsich super, wenn man dann mal einen erwischt der auch rund läuft.....
Eigentlich genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Nach zwei Sätzen Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M wollte ich einen Reifen mit eher auf Asphalt ausgelegtem Profil. Leider ist der allroad nicht maßhaltig. Auf meinen Felgen mit 19mm Innenweite kommt dieser gerade so auf 41mm anstatt der gewählten 45mm! Das war bei den gravel M besser. Zu den Fahreigenschaften und Pannenanfälligkeiten kann ich noch nichts sagen, das folgt!
