The pre-shaped pads follow the natural shape of the knee and fit ergonomically. A seamless, abrasion-resistant layer on the front ensures a sliding of the pads so that they do not move during crashes. The extremely durable and tightly woven aramid material adds to the robustness. On the sides, integrated EVA pads absorb light shocks. If you prefer to pedal uphill passages or the way to the trail without knee pads, you can easily remove the K-Lite Zip thanks to the side zipper without taking off your shoes.

Had these pads for over two years. but used them mostly for snowboarding. Comfortable, stay mostly in place, and definitely effective. Once managed to catch an edge at speed, get ejected, and land directly on just the knees right on top of iced over hard packed snow. Honestly feel like if I didn't have the pads, my knees would have exploded. Instead, I just got bruises and didn't even have to take the day off. Being of the soft variety, the pads might deal a little worse with rocks rather than smooth surfaces though.
Not been using them on the trail yet, just wearing them walking the dog etc to see how they feel. they are very comfy, light, no hotspots and seem to be an exellent choice. There are so many to choose from but Ion is a great brand, the materials are top notch. So far I think I made the correct descision to get these!
prese di una taglia maggiore (L) calzano perfettamente ma comunque si posso stringere ancora con i velcri, sono comunque meno ingombranti rispetto alle altre, hanno la comodità della zip per metterle solo quando ne hai bisogno.....se non fai dowhill per me sono la scelta ideale per avere comunque una buona protezione del ginocchio.
