Road bikes are more versatile than ever, no matter the road surface, but just as fast as before. The 303 S offers an entirely new rim profile and design to optimize rider performance on this new breed of bike. This wheelset is tubeless for disc-brake bikes, allowing the ability to run wide tires at lower pressures for race-ready speed on or off the pavement. The 303 S is among Zipps lightest wheelsets, optimized for top aero performance with a 28mm tire but capable of handling gravel tires up to 50mm wide.
The 303 S borrows design concepts from the higher-level 303 Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake wheelset to gain speed through increased efficiency. That is achieved by creating a wheel with reduced: Wind resistance, rolling resistance, rider fatigue, and weight. The key innovation is in the 303 S Series’ rim design. Its 45mm rim depth is the same as its predecessor, the 302 Disc brake. But its rim width is 2mm wider, at 27mm, and its tire bed is a full 7mm wider, at 23mm. That rim platform is designed to be the fastest with a 28mm tire. The wide rim optimizes tire profile to allow lower tire pressure. That helps to reduce rolling resistance and provides a more compliant ride. The result of all this is a 10 percent watt savings vs. a top peer wheel in total power required to ride 40kph on a smooth flat road with a 28mm tire, according to internal Zipp testing.

Überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert. Das ist der 1. Laufradsatz in 30 Jahren Radsport, den ich nicht weiterempfehlen kann. Keine 3000km Rennrad bei weitgehend trockenem Wetter und der Freilauf muss erneuert werden und die Nabe gewartet . Der Service von HS war freundlich, bestand aber auf der Einschätzung des Herstellers, dass es sich um schlechte Wartung meinerseits handelt. Wenn ich jetzt tatsächlich alle 2000 km einen Nabenservice bezahlen muss, kann ich mir meinen Sport bald nicht mehr leisten oder ich kaufe mir lieber wieder DT Swiss Laufräder, die ohne Wartung und ohne Probleme 15-20.000km anstandslos abspulen. 150 € Zahle ich jetzt um das Laufrad wieder instandsetzen zu lassen und in 3000km weiẞ ich, ob das Laufrad einfach nicht alltagstauglich ist oder ich nur ein Montagsprodukt erwischt habe. Tatsächlich die erste schlechte Erfahrung mit einem HS Bike Produkt nach über 25 Jahren Zufriedenheit.
These are an upgrade from Aluminium DT Swiss PR1400s. As a newbie to deep-ish carbon rims I was sceptical that I would feel a noticeable difference to my previous rims, there being little weight difference. I was wrong!! They handle really well, go really fast, look really good!! Some may complain about the quiet freewheel but I like it. Price-wise great. I also like the low pressure- I was surprised how low the recommended psi was, but they really perform well.
These are such good wheels. And probably the best this amount of money can buy.

5 Star wheels, 3 Star service. Love these wheels, everything I was hoping for at an 'affordable' price. Running with Scwalbe One 32mm favouring comfort over aero, first time with tubeless for me and all really easy to set up. Super comfy ride on the crappy roads we mostly have here in the west of Ireland but still very responsive and handling gives a lot of confidence. I was I bit worried about the depth in crosswinds but no problem there either. Very very happy. 3 Stars for service as one of the wheels showed obvious signs of having been previously fitted to a bike, so showroom or return maybe? And when repackaged the hub protecters weren't re-installed but just left rattling in the box with the hub caps etc and a loose wheel. Luckily no major damage was done part from a coupe of tiny scuffs so not worth the resources to return but this is not how I expect an expensive new wheel to arrive.
Die Erstmontage war nicht ganz ohne. Ich montiere Tubeless schon lange nur noch mit CO2-Patrone, das war auch in diesem Fall (Schwalbe Pro One TLE 28mm) unmöglich. Mit Spüli klappte es dann problemlos. Der erste Fahreindruck - gegenüber meinen Fulcrum 6 und DT Swiss PR 1600 eine andere Welt. Das Abrollverhalten extrem weich, sehr leicht und gefühlt pfeilschnell. Man spürt das wirklich deutlich. Im Wiegetritt keine Knarz-Geräusche, keinerlei Veränderung, einfach nur Vortrieb. Selbst bergab mit heißgebremsten Scheiben höre ich kein Scheibenklirren mehr... absolut erste Sahne.
Le ruote sono magnifiche!! Otttimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Io le uso per una bici da corsa con copertoncini del 25 mm continental grand prix 5000 con camera d'aria e sono perfette. Agili e rigide, perfette su ogni terreno. Le consgilio al 100%. Complimeti al venditore.. perfetto in tutto!!
Großartige Laufräder mit einem sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. 28er Reifen passen perfekt zum breiten Felgenbett und für den Winter oder Paris-Roubaix können theoretisch bis zu 50mm Reifen aufgezogen werden. Die Pirelli P ZERO Race TLR 28“ passen gut und ließen sich leicht und ohne Hilfsmittel (wären eh nicht erlaubt) aufziehen. Der Freilauf schnurrt wie ein Kätzchen.
Preis/Leistung top. Rollt sehr gut mit Schwalbe One TLE 28mm.
Nun sind sie endlich da . Kleines Fazit . Lieferung, 5 Sterne , Bike Discount eben . Die Laufräder, ich fahre sie auf einem Canyon CF 8 und alles ist so wie von mir erträumt , sie sind leicht, sie sind schnell und sie sind wirklich super schick . Erstmontage, hier fängt der Spass an . Den Reifen ( meine Wahl ist hier der Schwalbe One TLE , denn ich fahre in Berlin und teurer ist hier sinnlos ) bekommst du easy und ohne Werkzeug AUF die Felge. In die Felge, oh weh , Standpumpe garnich, auch Lkw Säulen an Tankstellen scheiterten . Immerhin soll ein schmaler 28er Reifen in ein 23er Felgenbett gedrückt werden . Der Tyre Booster von Schwalbe brachte hier den Sieg , ein Luftstoss mit knapp über 10 Bar und plopp . Das Felgenband is fürs Ventil schon vorgestanzt , aber Vorsicht , der kleine Zipfel hängt noch dran . Unbedingt vorsichtig entfernen , sonst bekommt ihr das Ventil nicht dicht . Fahren , sie rollen super leicht , fühlen sich stabil und schnell an . Jederzeit gutes Feedback zur Strasse . Wer mit dem Freilauf Fußgänger erschrecken will , sollte sich jedoch gleich noch eine gute Klingel mitbestellen, denn die Räder sind super leise , vom Abrollgeräusch bis eben auch zum Freilauf . Hookless und max 5 Bar , ich vermisse meine 7 Bar nicht , dass System funktioniert und ich bin schon auf 4 Bar runtergegangen . Man muss es testen um urteilen zu können ! Optik, einfach genial
