With the XTR SM-BB94-41A Hollowtech II Press Fit bottom bracket from Shimano, Hollowtech II cranks (24 mm axle) can be installed in MTB frames with 89.5 to 92 mm bottom bracket width.
The concept of HOLLOWTECH II technology is focused on producing a superior crankset which will maximize a rider’s power transfer. The rigidity of the crankset ensures pedaling efficiency while its weight, a key element of the crankset, you want light, aids in cycling longer distances over which the rider needs to pedal more. Nachdem ein XT PressFit Lager SM-BB71-41A in meinem MTB bereits nach 400 km den Geist aufgab, habe ich mich für dieses XTR-Modell entschieden. Es ist minimal teurer, hat aber schon ca 1500 km hinter sich, ohne Auffälligkeiten und Geräusche. Ich hoffe, dass dieses Lager noch sehr lange läuft.
