While the foot rests only at certain points in conventional pedals and is deformed due to the short pedal surface in the longitudinal direction, supports the EP-1 with its very large contact surface, the sole of the foot. Complaints as numbness or foot pain may not even occur. On the large, anatomically shaped non-slip tread surface of the foot finds its ideal position and even the left and right person to person the if necessary. The internal guide rails ensure perfect positioning and prevent contact of the foot and crank. The use of a short axis of the Q-factor is reduced (the distance between the two pedals). The joint chain "foot-knee-hip" is thus aligned axis justice.

Die Pedale sind leicht ( 352g pro Paar ). Der innere Rand verhindert, dass der Schuh am Kurbelarm streift. Das Pedal hat einen sehr geringen Q-Faktor. Die Kugellager haben auch nach über 10 000 km kein Spiel. Das Pedal ist sehr flach. Als Vielfahrer bevorzuge ich dieses Pedal, weil die rutschfeste Oberfläche in Pyramidenstruktur die Schuhsohle schont . Dafür nehme ich in Kauf, dass man bei Nässe abrutschen kann. Eine Sandpapier-Oberfläche ist bei Regen sicherer, geht aber auf Dauer an die Schuhsohlen. Das Pedal ist mit 93mm Breite etwas schmäler, dafür kommt es in Kurven nicht so leicht zu Pedalaufsetzern.
They look a bit odd at first, but after the first 2kms it already becomes abundantly clear that these pedals are nothing short of amazing. The grip, the support, really awesome. Obviously not meant for sporting purposes but for trekking/touring I wholeheartedly recommend you give these things a chance, you won't regret it.
Schön finde ich sie nicht, aber SEHR praktisch und bequem: also form follows function...
Gute Pedale für Leute mit großen Füßen. Ich fahre sie seit etwa 5.000km an einem Pedelec und mittlerweile auch an einem Tourenrad. Sie sind leicht, haben gute Lager und bieten sehr gute und rutschfeste Auflage, auch bei Regen. Sie sind hervorragend nutzbar für alle Schuharten, egal ob Barfuß, Barfußschuhe, mit Crocs, mit Arbeitsschuhe und Stahlsohle bzw. -kappe oder Gummistiefel.
