The CXR is the ultimate performance pedal for riders looking for light weight with high durability. It is available in five anodized colors: black/black, black/red, black/blue, black/orange and black/oilslick.
Unpacking the CXR clipless pedal reveals a very high-quality impression. The package includes the matching Xpedo XPT cleats. Xpedo uses its own system here. Installation is as straightforward as with other systems. The release mechanism of the pedals can be adjusted using a hex key and a scale. I started with the lightest setting, but as the cleats wore down, I had to readjust. I tested the CXR pedal while gravel riding. The clever design of the retention bracket allowed for easy clipping in and out in all weather and ground conditions. I was particularly impressed with clipping in, as I intuitively found the correct position most of the time. While pedaling, the pedal does what it's supposed to: keep the foot firmly in place! The pedal comes in stylish color combinations, although my model showed slight signs of wear on the outer edge of the axle from clipping in.
