In the development of the Rapid Red 5 DB, Fulcrum has brought together all the experience and technical know-how gained in the production of wheels for road bikes, and designed a model for surfaces other than asphalt. Unpaved roads, trails and dirt tracks require a wider inner channel - in this case 23 mm - with a low, extremely resistant 24 mm rim to absorb shocks and provide excellent riding comfort, whatever the stresses to which it is subjected. The tread pattern of the wheel allows the fitting of tyres between 30 and 46 mm with a wide range of settings that can be adjusted according to the type of road you ride on. The 24 straight-head spokes are supported by a solid aluminium hub, ideal for rough terrain and for the slightly higher weight of a touring bike.
