In the DT Swiss Ratchet System, each tooth engages with its front surface in a tooth of the opposite disc (engagement angle). Thus, lower point loads are generated than with the triangular ratchet system. For cyclists, it is important that the power is immediately converted into propulsion when starting off. Therefore, DT Swiss pulleys are available with different numbers of teeth and correspondingly different engagement angles. The smaller the contact angle of the timing belt pulleys, the less empty travel is available when pedaling.

Funzt und schnurrt vor sich hin. Habe eines mit 36 Zähnen aufgrund Verschleiß ersetzen müssen. Einbau sehr einfach. Unmittelbarer Kraftschluss, kein ruckeln und murren.
Ich bin enttäuscht dass sich das Upgrade Kit nach dem Umbau nicht wirklich lauter anhört. Der Freilauf am Mädchenrad meiner Tochter ist lauter :).
Awesome!! Yes they are pricey, but they work like a charm. On installation I stretched the springs just a tiny bit to make the hub louder, be really careful if you choose to do so.
