The main reason why I need a saddle bag is to put my phone in it. Unfortunately, this is very small for any modern smart phone. But, it will do its purpose as a bicycle saddle bag. It will hold one tube (I'm not sure if it can hold an MTB tybe, but road tube yes) and a small multi tool and one tyre lever. I have not tested its water resistance, but I am sure it will be fine for moderate rain
