The fade, which can occur to rotor and pad when braking on a long downhill ride for instance, has a negative impact on the braking performance. SHIMANO has adopted ICE TECHNOLOGY Rotor and ICE TECHNOLOGY Pad to realize the cooling technology for consistent performance. The clad rotor blade, which has a 3 layer-sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance achieving from 400˚C to 300˚C surface temperature. Also, the radiation fin has been adopted for the pad. Moreover, the clad rotor blade and the radiator fin provide long pad life, less noise, less fade and lightweight.
Center Lock System
The CENTER LOCK system makes an easy rotor installation possible with spline mount and a lock ring. The lock ring mounting system reduces the total working hours by shortening the amount of time of both installation and de-installation. In addition, the secure fixing by the spline mount enhances precision and rigidity while improving braking efficiency.

Schon mittlerweile zum dritten Mal gekauft, funktioniert einwandfrei, rubbelt nicht und der Verschleiß hält sich im Gegensatz zu der rt66 in Grenzen.

Bremsleistung o.k., leider verbiegen sich die Scheiben schnell. ich hatte insgesamt 4 SM-RT86, 2x180er hinten, 2x203er vorne an einer Shimano-Saint (BR 820), bei allen Scheiben das Gleiche. Ich bin jetzt auf die Hope Floating Scheiben umgestiegen und seitdem ist alles gut.

Gute Scheibe in Sandwichbauweise. Leider bei meinem Exemplar mit deutlichem Seitenschlag, den ich aber mit dem entsprechenden Spezialwerkzeug ausgleichen konnte. Sollte dennoch im Neuzustand nicht sein.
