CushCore is an engineered foam insert that mounts inside a mountain bike tire. It divides the inner volume of the tire in half, with air underneath the tread and the CushCore insert next to the rim. This system is designed to be used with tubeless-ready or tubeless converted mountain bike rims and tires. CushCore is compatible with tubeless tire sealants.
After my old tire insert wore out, I decided to go with the CushCore Pro tire insert. Installing it requires some effort and time, but with the help of the video tutorial, I was able to do it successfully. Admittedly, the protection isn't cheap, but it's more than just a tire insert. The design creates a kind of two-chamber system. This gives the tire better cushioning and suspension properties; you can run lower air pressures without the risk of damaging the rim or tire during harder impacts. In fact, the insert has reliably protected my rims both in tough downhill use and on my heavy e-bike. CushCore allows me to experiment with different air pressures depending on the terrain while maintaining good rolling characteristics.
