The Puncture Protection Strip is a special fabric placed between a tire's tread and casing to increase resistance to punctures.
Handmade
Handmade tires combine many attributes to create the most comfortable and low rolling resistance tires.
Sealed Corespun Cotton
To protect cotton casing, we are applying a special waterproof bead to bead coating. This treatment keeps the casing lighter, softer and more supple, extenting tires life and brightness.
TLR
TLR tires versions can be ridden tubeless adding sealant but are also able to run with an inner tube. Vulcanized version ensures durability. Maximum comfort is given by the handmade construction; in this version, a bead-to-bead inner coating gives added puncture protection to these new tubeless ready tires and greatly reduces any air pressure dissipation. Enhanced longevity has been gained with the addition of an aramid bead protection strip, to reduce rim chafing.

I bought these tyres after reading very good reviews about the ride quality. I must say that they are pretty darn difficult to set up and I do really encourage anyone who buys these tyres to check the video instructions from the manufacturer. Once set up, these tyres prove to be really fast, supple and puncture resistant. I have now more than 500km and I'm setting a lot of PR's and I didn't have any puncture (touching wood as I speak). One last thing: the positive downside of them being so difficult to set up is that they are also less likely to pop off the rim if you have a flat. And if there's one tyre I want to have on my rim in case of a flat while going downhill, this is the one.
