The Schwalbe Big Apple Performance 20x2.15" tires are disappointing in terms of durability and traction. The tread pattern is extremely thin—only about 2 mm—likely because the tires balloon out, and a thicker tread would have made them rub against mudguards. However, this comes at the cost of longevity, as they look worn out almost immediately and will likely wear down quickly. Worse yet, they offer little to no grip in muddy conditions, struggling on slopes or slippery patches of road caused by mud. Even in an urban setting, where you often encounter muddy patches between sidewalks, alleys, or in parks, these tires fail to provide reliable traction. While they might be fine for dry pavement, they are far from a good choice for mixed terrain.
