Secret Chain Blend consists of highly refined, laboratory-grade paraffin and a high concentration of tungsten disulphide in three specific sizes. Secret Chain Blend not only acts as a lubricant, but also alters the surface of the chain by filling all the gaps in the metal with highly lubricating and wear-resistant tungsten disulphide particles. As a result, chains that have been waxed with Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube actually run faster over time and after repeated waxing. Secret Chain Blend is the only hot wax lubricant with a specially formulated and compatible drip wax, which can be used to top up the wax as required, thereby extending the interval between hot wax applications and ensuring the drivetrain runs as smoothly as possible. Using the combination of Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube can drastically extend the service life of the chain and drivetrain components (up to 10 times).

Kochtopf versaut! Leider ist (nur bei mir?? ) die untere Klebenaht des Beutels beim aufwärmen aufgegangen. Das Wachs ist teilweise herausgeflossen und hat mir den Kochtopf versaut. Hat mich eine Stunde saubermachen gekostet. Eigentlich war die Versprechung die Kette im Beutel schmutzfrei zu behandeln ausschlaggebend, das Produkt zu kaufen. Nie wieder!
Bin seit einiger Zeit auch in Winter mit dem Wachs unterwegs und sehr zufrieden. Verarbeitung mit dem neuen Strip Chip genial einfach. Sauberer Antrieb kein Kettengeräusch - kein Öl auf den Bremsscheiben.👍 Ein echter Benefit. Nachwachsen mit Heisswachs oder Flüssigwachs beides geht und funktioniert.🤩 Im Winter alle 300 km und im Sommer trocken alle 350- 400 km. Verschleiss bei Kette und Kassette deutlich geringer. Ich werde es wieder bestellen!
Naja. Bin eine 11-fach Kette 701 Schimano auf dem MTB jetzt ca. 1000km gefahren. Alle 250km kam die Kette in den Topf. Das Fahrgefühl ist super und schaltet sich auch sehr gut. Von der Fahrt gestern durch den Wald sieht das Rad aus wie die Sau, die Kette scheint wie frisch geputzt. Allerdings sagt die Längenmesslehre bereits deutlich Verschleiß an. Wenn es so weiter geht, dann hält die Kette keine 3.000km. Gut, ich bin gerade gut drauf und kann auch rein treten (über 10.000 km/J und 180.000 HM/J). Das frisst natürlich. Aber im Vergleich hatte ich mehr erhofft. Mit Mucoff normal 2.000km, mit Variolube 2.500km pro Kette. Bin gespannt, wie weit ich damit komme.
Top, bin die frisch gewachste Kette mit dem Gravelbike im Gelände gefahren und bin begeistert. Blitzblanke Antriebsteile (Kette, Ritzel, Schaltungsrädchen, Kettenblätter), alles top sauber trotz feuchten Dreck und tiefen Boden. Heißwachsen ist mit dem Silca Secret Chain Blend (Hot Wax) Kettenwachs und Silca Stripchip deutlich entspannter und schneller.
Sobald das Reinigungsglas und der Reiskocher mit dem Wachs einmal vorbereitet sind, dauert die ganze Prozedur bei mir netto 5 Minuten (zzgl. Auslüften/trocknen). Bin jetzt die zweite Saison mit Secret Chain unterwegs und die Kette surrt. Ich habe immer eine zweite zum Wechseln fertig, dann klappt’s auch ohne Vorlaufstress.
Die Prozedur ist zwar etwas aufwendig, aber Silca hat ja gute Anleitungen per Video dazu und damit klappt es sogar beim ersten Mal super! Nach der Anwendung verliere ich bisher in diesem Winter wesentlich weniger Nerven ans Kettenklappern, als jemals davor - es lohnt sich!! ich nehme zur Anwendung einen alten Extra-Topf, in dem ich das Wachs immer nur aufwärme.
