Winter running shoe with GORE-TEX® technology: the Jackal GTX by La Sportiva
GORE-TEX membrane with Invisible Fit technology provides maximum flexibility, waterproofing and breathability. Comfortable fit and wide fit for use in ultramarathons, elastic tongue "comfort fit", enveloping and soft, for maximum freedom of movement, internal bellows construction for protection from rocks and mud. In the lacing, the loops were used directly on the lateral inserts of the shaft: this solution allows better volume regulation during ultra-long running, when the feet tend to swell. The net mesh on the sides provides ventilation and a comfortable climate.
The heart of the Jackal lies in the innovative unit of sole/midsole in EVA with internal cushioning pads in polyurethane with high energy return Infinitoo™ technology. The frontal insert increases cushioning, while the rear insert improves stabilization during running. The midsole is made of compressed EVA with integrated Rock-Shield for a stable running and rock-guard effect. The outsole is made of Frixion Red compound with Impact Brake System lugs with differentiated thicknesses. Impact resistant TPU protective toe, FriXion-Red sole with dual compound, for maximum grip and duration. Impact Brake System
Designed and developed in La Sportiva's Research and Development Center, it offers real advantages during running: the negative effect produced by the impact with the ground is minimized. Due to the special arrangement of the pimples, some come into contact with the ground beforehand, thus softening the impact of the shoe profile.
Infinitoo™
Technology developed exclusively by La Sportiva, which allows perfect shock absorption and guarantees maximum energy return while running. The soft polyurethane that makes up the structure of Infinitoo™ ensures long-term unchanged high damping performance.
