The upper has the overlap construction, which wraps the foot without any pressure point, helping to transfer every watt of power, eliminating the dispersion of energy. Furthermore, the TPU reinforcements ensure a 360 ° strategic protection along the entire upper.
An easy and even closure system is guaranteed by the SLW2 dial, the only one with a step-by-step release, which allows a millimetric adjustment of the shoe in a fast and intuitive way. The new Easyfit Climaflex collar combines the extreme flexibility of the Rattler® Gore-Tex membrane with the high thermal insulation of Neoprene, for more mobility and protection.
The wrapping and positioning of the heel are enabled by an anatomic seat and a solid thermoformed counter, in addition to the Arctic 4Layer insole made with Eva + Aluminum + Eva + Pile, which guarantees excellent thermal insulation.
For safety, the 360° reflective inserts provide added visibility on the road.

Sock Tips
The sock you put on with your Gore-Tex® footwear is very important. Although highly padded socks can seem like the natural choice to protect your feet from cold, they tend to absorb the sweat produced by the foot, creating an uncomfortable sensation of moisture and wet. This is not related to the shoes, which are completely waterproof. We recommend you to use only reduced thickness socks, made with specific technical yarns which expel the moisture, in order to facilitate the evaporation through the membrane’s breathable pores.Technologies

Ausgezeichnete Schuhe, die durchdacht und wirklich warm sind. Würde der Leisten am großen Zeh (Innenspann) gerade bis zur Schuhspitze gehen, dann wären die Schuhe perfekt. Ich habe bisher ausschließlich SIDI Radschuhe getragen (Rennrad und MTB). Winterschuhe können die leider überhaupt nicht, daher mein Wechsel zu Nortwave. Ein Größentipp für Wechselwillige habe ich auch noch parat: SIDI in Größe 45 entspricht ungefähr Northwave in Größe 44.
Qualität, Design und Verarbeitung sind typisch Northwave sehr gut! leider ist der Schuh nicht unbedingt für breite Vorderfüße geeignet! Vorne war der Schuh mir zu eng und an der Ferse zu weit, da half eine halbe Nummer größer auch nicht weiter! 44 Größe ist vom Gefühl her länger aber nicht merklich breiter. Sehr schade, da die Schuhe echt was her machen!
Zatím jsem jezdil jen okolo 0C, maximální spokojenost. Teplo i s letními ponožkami, bota je pohodlná.
Guter Schuh! Habe ihn auf meiner ersten Ausfahrt bei 1...3°C getestet. Er ist ausreichend warm. Bei längerer Bergauffahrt wurde aber trotz Goretex die Feuchtigkeit nicht optimal abtransportiert, sodass die Füße doch feucht wurden. Allerdings waren es auch mit Nebel und Nieselregen keine guten Bedingungen zur Feuchteabfuhr. Aber auf jeden Fall besser als vorher mit Neopren-Überziehern über einem "normalen" MTB Schuh. Da man wegen des tw. noch hohen, sulzigen Schnees auch schieben musste, konnte der Schuh auch zeigen, dass man mit ihm auch durch nassen Schnee laufen kann, ohne dass er undicht geworden wär. Einziges Minus: Habe SPD PD-M324 Pedale mit nur einer Seite Klick. Die andere für den Fall, dass es mal etwas kniffliger wird und man auch mal schnell vom Pedal runter muss. Und da gibt die Sohle leider nicht so gute Stabilität, man rutscht leicht weg. Nicht so ideal für schwieriges Gelände. Kannte ich so von Scott oder Shimano Schuhen nicht. Daher ein Stern Abzug.
