Garmin's bike lights do not just shine brightly, they are designed to stand out in the road traffic by day and by night. So far, so common. It's the built-in radar which makes the real difference to other rear lights. It detects other vehicles at a distance of up to 140 m and gives optical and acoustic warning signals! For the Garmin Varia RTL511 you need a compatible device, e.g. a Garmin Edge Cycle Computer.
