In-Mold Construction
In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
Roc Loc 5

Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Giro's helmets are developed utilizing their proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system. This elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet’s shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust fresh, cool air over and around the rider’s head while forcing heat and stale air out. It’s the most effective cooling system available, and a difference you can feel every time you ride.
P.O.V. Plus
The P. O. V. Plus Visor has an adjustment mechanism that allows the visor to be adjusted up and down in 3 steps. In addition, the visor can be pushed up so far that the goggle can be pushed onto the helmet during a break, for example. The adjustment is easy to make with one hand and while driving.

Der Radix ist ein klassischer, sportlich und von der Helmschale schlank gehaltener MTB Helm, was der Optik zu Gute kommt. Die Rundumbelüftung ist meinem Eindruck nach kiemen- oder wabenartig aufgebaut und gewährleistet einen guten Temperaturaustausch. Der Helm hat ein geringes Eigengewicht. Der Anpassring des Roc Loc 5 fügt sich komplett um den Schädel und der Helm sitzt fest und sicher. Auffällig ist bei der Konstruktion ist, dass der Hinterkopf sehr gut geschützt ist, was mir ebenfalls gefällt. Gesamtfazit: Empfehlenswerter und gut schützender MTB helm zu einem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
