Design inspired by female cyclists for female cyclists

PEARL iZUMi has visited bike shops around the globe to learn more about what women want from cycling clothing. Time and again, the brand representatives were told that cycling shorts can be a little tight at the leg ends and cut into the skin. making them very uncomfortable for a cyclist to wear. To minimize and eliminate such adverse effects, Pearl Izumi has developed new fabric construction methods and used special materials. The pressure at the leg end and the central part of the shorts can now be measured, allowing to adjust the shape and wearing comfort as required. The result is a more pleasant fit and a smooth transition between shorts and leg. Besides the shorts, jerseys and accessories have of course also been adapted in design and function to the demands of female cyclists.
