Passt NICHT für 12S Shimano oder flattop-Ketten. Steht auch so auf der Verpackung, aber nicht hier in der Beschreibung. Rüge an BD. Mit etwas Nacharbeiten passt es dann auch für 12S Shimano und ich bin von dem Grunddesign begeistert. Sehr simpel und effektiv - und leicht.
sehr geil leicht das teil !!! fuer unterwegs zum mitnehmen perfekt fuer mich . habe es sowohl zum loesen wie auch zum zusammennieten getestet und es funktioniert echt super . ist moeglicherweise nicht fuer den dauereinsatz in der werkstatt jedoch sein geld wert und fuer mich perfekt ! gute verarbeitung und kette passt super und leicht rein ( 10 u 11 fach gestet ) und mit dem 5 mm inbus laesst sich das teil leicht drehen und ent bzw nieten . gut zu fuehlen wann die niete richtig sitzt !
Unlike the article description says, the tool is NOT compatible with all 12 speed chains. The top of the box states: "Compatible with all derailleur chains except for SRAM Flattop and Shimano 12 speed chains." The outer link plates of Shimano CN-M9100 chain are too wide to fit in the well of the tool. I fixed this by grinding one side of the opening wider. I don't have any SRAM flattop chains at hand, but I don't expect the same solution to work – the bigger rollers probably would not fit in at all. Otherwise, the tool is very good. Does what it should in small and light package. Third of the weight is in the separate allen key, which you don't need to carry anyway if you have a multitool or similar. Without this little mishap in the description (or, better still, a new version which would support the wider links out of the box): 5/5
