The lightweight Alps 8.0 Pants are designed to offer high levels of comfort. It is made from an advanced four-way stretch fabric and reinforced 300 Denier polyfabric panels on the saddle area and on the knees to provide high levels of durability.
The Alps 8.0 Pants are the perfect mix between comfort and protection from the cold. These pants are equipped with three pockets for the safe and secure storage of personal items, while the zippered bottom leg hem opening and hook and loop waist adjustment ensure a customized fit.

Since lined softshell trousers are usually too warm for me, I was looking for normal trousers with a slightly warmer feel for the autumn and winter months. At temperatures above 15 degrees Celsius I prefer to ride in my Fox Defend Kevlar, but they are not suitable for the cold season because of their excellent ventilation properties. The Alps MTB pants are made of a somewhat thicker softshell material with reinforced polyester fibres at the knees as well as the bottom and below the calf. This makes them hard-wearing and resistant to falls, mud or contacts with the pedals. I've already tested them on tours at temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees and I haven't felt any cold on my legs, but everyone has a different perception of what is cold. Under the pants I wore Gore C5 Liner Shorts. I measure 186 cm and size L was not too short for me, the width at the ankles can additionally be adjusted with two press studs. There are also pockets for your smartphone, lift pass or other things. So if you find lined softshell trousers too warm or if you don't want to cycle at temperatures below 5 degrees anyway, you should give the Alps trousers a try.
