As for the fit, it sits loosely at the thigh and tapers toward the ankle, with a regular front and back rise and waist. But perhaps the best thing about the pants is their versatility. Roll up the hem for mid-morning airing. In the afternoon, zip them off halfway up your thigh. When evening comes, turn them back into long pants. And don't worry about losing the zipped-off pieces. There's a storage pocket for that. Finally, the water repellent finish makes short work of light showers.
