After extensive research, Sram unifies the diameter of bike crankshafts and inner bearings to 28.99mm from 2018. The new bearing technology DUB (Durable Unifying Bottom Bracket) sets new standards from now on.
Electric shifting is great. Once you get used to it, you don't want anything else. Changing gears couldn't be more fun. I definitely do it somewhat more often than with my former mechanical shifting system. For me, the XO Transmission groupset is just perfect. Thanks to the bashguard, I don't need a chain guide, which makes for a damn good look together with the visually sensational crankset. I can confidently do without the few grams saved by a carbon crank. The 1295 cassette and the X0 chain also look by far the best. Compared to the XX and XX SL, the chain lock and chain have the same colour. I will probably install a power meter. Here you can simply swap the left crank arm. The cost of the upgrade is limited. Maybe we'll see a rocker lever for the Pod Ultimate in the future, I could also go for that. Basically, with the XO groupset you have maximum shifting performance, a great look and a lot of tuning potential, which you wouldn't have with the cheaper GX.
