The display shows not only the most common bike computer values such as current speed, average speed, maximum speed and distance. It also shows important values about the status of the bike. The capacity of the battery is displayed as well as the remaining range, depending on the levels of support. For wheels with the Di2 the selected gear is displayed.
With large and sharp writing the SHIMANO STEPS Display SC-E6010 ensures that the information is better and faster to read. Two control buttons below the screen contribute substantially to the simplified operation of the entire system. It is comprised of a switch (on / off function) for the SHIMANO STEPS system and to the light switch. The display SC-6010 is fully compatible with the display holder of the previous model SC-E6000.

Fully automatic shifting
You can use fully automatic shifting by combining either our DU-E6001 or DU-E6010 SHIMANO STEPS drive unit with the Di2 internal gearhub. Based on cadence and speed, the SHIMANO STEPS system automatically tells the Di2 hub what gear to shift into. So while you pedal, the drive unit brainstorms and decides to temporarily reduce chain tension so the hub can change to the right gear. In plain English, that means a smoother riding experience because you won’t be breaking a sweat about whether you’re in the right gear or not. You’ll realise right away how great automatic shifting is if you’re not a comfortable shifter or when you need to come to an abrupt halt. In fact, SHIMANO STEPS will automatically shift down to a lower gear as you stop at traffic lights, for example, and give you that extra surge when the lights go green again for an easy start.
