Semi slick with special grip: the Schwalbe G-One RS
The center section of the RS tire has a specially developed scale structure that gives the rider more braking traction or steering grip depending on the running direction - and makes the tire super fast. To get the most out of it, the G-ONE RS has different running directions for use on the front and rear wheels.
Compared to the G-ONE R, the RS has 20% less rolling resistance - for maximum speed, Schwalbe's developers have opted for a semi-slick version. The inspiration for the matching grip came from the cross tire X ONE Speed - so the slightly angled side blocks can be found on the tire, which provide maximum grip or braking performance depending on the rolling direction.

Der Hype um den Reifen ist übertrieben. Klar ist er schnell, bei dem Profil kein Wunder. Aber den passenden Luftdruck zu finden ( zuviel = alles rattert, zuwenig= wie auf Eiern) ist nicht so einfach. Fahre ihn auf ZIPP 303 s Hookless in 40mm, funktoniert einwandfrei mit empfohlenen Drücken von 2,9 bar hinten und 2,5 Bar vorn (tubeless) nach der Empfehlung von ZIPP. Macht Spass, aber auf Schotter oder wenns gröber wird, zeigt der Reifen deutliche Schwächen. Die Geschwindigkeit nehme ich mir lieber über die Laufräder, die Sicherheit beim Grip geht vor. Deshalb wieder WTB Raddler 44 mm.
Traumhaft - von der Montage bis hin zum Fahrerlebnis ein Genuss. Noch nie so problemlos einen TLE Reifen auf eine UST Felge montiert, ging fast ganze ohne Reifenheber - und dann auch noch sofort dicht, ohne Ruhezeit oder Einfahren. Auf Asphalt rollt der fast ebenso schnell wie ein Rennrad Slick und bietet gleichzeitig auf Schotter genug halt in den Kurven. Fahre ihn Tubeless mit knapp 3bar und bin begeistert vom Rollverhalten. Einfach genial von Schwalbe.
