The tube revolution: Schwalbe Aerothan MTB SV13E 26"
In cross-country and marathon, a surprisingly low weight and low rolling resistance are great advantages. Even on challenging trails, this tube never gives up on you: Thanks to the exceptional form stability of the Aerothan Tube MTB, even at low air pressures, you always keep control of your bike.
Aerothan tubes consist of 100% thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), including the valve, and are therefore fully recyclable.
Note: TPU is a thermoplastic material that does not retreat under extreme deformation – unlike butyl, which exhibits shrinkage behavior. TPU always requires a counterpart, in this case the carcass, to keep its shape. Therefore, the tube should be slightly pumped up during assembly (maximum 0.3 bar) and then mounted with the tire.

Als eine echte Revolution im Schwalbe-Portfolio kann man diesen Schlauch bezeichnen! Ich durfte ihn bereits Probefahren und muss sagen, dass er einen echten Gewinn an Fahrsicherheit und Komfort bedeutet. Die Montage ist problemlos. Ich fuhr bislang noch 'normale' Schläuche und hatte bereits auf der ersten Ausfahrt im Gelände bei gleichem Luftdruck (+-1,1 bar) ein wesentlich sicherers Fahrgefühl. Man hat nicht mehr so schnell das Gefühl, dass der Reifen 'wegknicken' könnte o.Ä und subjektiv rollt er einfach wirklich besser ab. Einen Platten hatte ich bisher auch noch nicht, aber das soll ja genau so auch sein... Der höhere Preis lohnt sich m.E. hier mal so richtig!
Machen einen hervorragenden Eindruck, superleicht. Waren für alte 26-er MTB-Felgen mangels Tubelessfähigkeit gedacht. Sind aber NICHT geeignet bei Felgen mit (für SV-Ventile zu großem) VENTILLOCH für AUTOVENTIL: - Ventil würde beweglich im Ventilloch bleiben, daher Gefahr der Schlauchbeschädigung durch Zugkräfte. - Felgenmutter-Adapter für SV-Ventile von Schwalbe hilft auch nicht: Die Aerothan-Ventile haben kein Gewinde, daher hätte der auf das Ventil zu schraubende Adapter keinen Halt. Und der Durchmesser des Aerothan-Ventils ist ohnehin zu groß, um durch den Adapter zu passen.
