Versatile and well-supporting shoe for everyday use: the Wildfire Leather GTX from Salewa
The snug-fitting, foot-wrapping cut with a reinforcement of sturdy Kevlar wires gives you plenty of mobility while maintaining firm ankle and heel support, making the shoe suitable for easy climbs, technical scrambles and even basic alpine climbing. Its waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane and elastic insert on the tongue also protect you well from rapidly changing mountain weather.
The high-quality, durable yet soft 1.4mm-thick suede upper is protected by a 360° wrap-around polyurethane welt. The Pomoca™ Speed MTN Path outsole also gives you excellent grip and secure footing for good traction even on soft terrain. The S-Path technology also supports the natural rolling process of your foot and the specially designed for climbing lace provides good grip on flat rock and smaller ledges or edges.
The adjustable climbing lacing system further supports the precise fit of the shoe. Inside, a breathable OrthoLite footbed provides good comfort and quickly wicks away moisture to keep your feet comfortably dry at all times.

Technologies
Gore-Tex®
In technical apparel, GORE-TEX® fabrics are at the forefront of waterproofing, breathability and durability. The GORE-TEX® membrane is completely waterproof and windproof, while allowing evaporated perspiration to pass through to the outside. The membrane is made up of pores (1.4 billion pores per square centimeter) that are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water but 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, so water can't penetrate but the skin can breathe. Durability was tested in the laboratory by simulating the most extreme atmospheric conditions.

Pomoca®
Description Pomoca® Gliding Path supports the natural s-shaped rolling movement of the foot. A special s-shaped lug construction, the gliding path, provides a smooth rolling motion and reduces deformation energy. A traction zone next to the gliding path provides grip on different terrain due to the lug structure.
