Lightweight, very comfortable shoe: The Alp Trainer 2 GORE-TEX® Trekking Shoe by Salewa
Proven in the Monti Pallidi - the Italian Dolomites - the Alp Trainer 2 Gore-Tex® is a low-cut, alpine hiking and trekking boot designed for enhanced comfort on long days of hiking in rugged alpine terrain. The rugged upper is made of premium suede and features a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane and a 360° rubber rand for added protection from rocks and boulders for solid protection.
Salewa's proprietary, trademarked 3F system allows the shoe to conform to your foot and protectively enclose it. The steel cable provides firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the special Climbing Lacing allows adjustment all the way to the toes for improved performance on the rock. The EVA midsole provides excellent cushioning and comfort for a technical shoe.
The SALEWA®-exclusive Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole provides improved performance and handling in a wide variety of mountain terrain. Thanks to its special climbing, traction and braking zones and the grippy and robust lug profile, it also impresses in wet and muddy conditions.

Gore-Tex®
GORE-TEX® fabrics lead the industry of technical clothing in the provision of waterproof protection, breathability and durability. The GORE-TEX®membrane is completely water- and windproof and at the same time allows sweat to pass through it. The membrane is formed by pores (over 9 billion pores per square inch) which are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule preventing water penetration and helping the skin breathe. Resistance tested in the lab, simulating the most extreme atmospheric conditions.
Flex Collar
The FLEX COLLAR increases the ankle‘s rear range of motion and comfort during descents, thanks to a curved shape that follows the plantar flexion of the ankle.

Klasse Schuh, gute Passform und griffige Sohle. Ich hatte schon den halbhohen Vorgänger und war gut zufrieden, dieser flache Schuh scheint noch eine griffigere Sohle zu haben und die Verarbeitung/Passform machen einen sehr guten Eindruck. Soweit nach der ersten Testrunde zu beurteilen! Wie immer prima Service von BD!
