The Alp Mate Winter Mid shoe is designed for men looking for a reliable mid-high mountain boot for (snowshoe) hikes during the colder months of the year. It has an upper made of high-quality suede and durable stretch fabric with a protective rubber rand. The waterproof, breathable inner membrane will always protect your feet from snow and wet conditions.
Designed for winter use, this boot features the proprietary SALEWA® 3F system with rugged Kevlar wires for flexibility, heel hold and a stable, protective fit. Inside, the warm Alpine Wool lining gives you enhanced thermal management, especially in colder conditions, while the built-in durable EVA midsole provides a soft landing and shock absorption on harder surfaces. In addition, the climbing laces and eyelets can be easily adjusted to ensure a secure and precise fit, depending on your needs.
The Pomoca™ Winter Hike outsole has a tread pattern designed for stability, grip and traction on rock, mud and especially snow and ice, while biomechanical S-Path technology supports natural foot movement on and off the trail.
This Alp Mate Winter Mid boot is a Salewa Committed product with a PFC-free, durable water repellent (DWR) coating and is manufactured to additional rigorous, independently audited standards for social responsibility and fair labor practices.

During aerobic activities, the breathable membrane wicks moisture to the outside, reducing condensation on the inside and ensuring a pleasantly warm and dry indoor climate. Our POWERTEX functional materials are available in three different performance categories (2-, 2.5- AND 3-layer).

Description Pomoca® Gliding Path supports the natural s-shaped rolling movement of the foot. A special s-shaped cleat construction, the gliding path, provides a smooth rolling motion and reduces deformation energy.
